Squaredance

A raised platform of loose granite paving stones, supported by metal rods, was assembled into a square shape. A rotating motion changes the stone arrangement. The new grid pattern increases the "surface" by creating gaps between the stones. In the reverse motion, the stones realign themselves. This synchronized movement is mechanically driven by an electric motor via gears and joint connectors.
